what is this about?

Google officially rolled out AI-generated answers, branded as AI Overviews (formerly part of the “Search Generative Experience” or SGE), to all users in the U.S. on May 14, 2023. From that moment on the world of SEO was irrevocably changed. AI’s rapid adoption across both personal and business lives has had and will continue to have a profound effect on how we find things from, consumerables, to knowledge, ideas, content; all of the things we ask of search and more when we enter prompts into AI Chats. Use Google to search for all the information around GEO or AEO, and there is now, quite a lot of it. So much so, that the more you read the more confusing it all becomes. What we present here is how we see the world of visibility to AI Changing and a lot of that right now is speculative conjecture simply because the systems have not been there long enough to develop trends, and currently, unlike SEO, there are zero standards in place  for GEO or AEO (not even the name is agree upon).
